Peptide therapy: a more natural approach
Peptide therapy is a medical treatment using small chains of amino acids (known as peptides) to rebuild cellular pathways naturally. The treatment can be used as hormone replacement, to treat certain diseases, and to manage chronic pain for many different types of patients. Peptides can be utilized in almost all fields of medicine including neurology, oncology, dermatology, and disease management. Introducing certain peptides back into the body after their depletion can be highly beneficial, especially as a patient ages

-
Sermorelin/Glycine
Sermorelin is a synthetic hormone peptide equivalent to the first 29 amino acids in growth-hormone releasing hormone (GHRH).
When patients get older, the loss of certain growth hormones leads to the loss of muscle mass, bone strength, and often a decline in mental health. When the body is introduced to a growth hormone (GH)-releasing peptide, it increases production of it’s own natural hormones that can help regulate bodily functions that have depleted with age.
Get.Fit.Medical performs natural peptide GH therapy for many of our patients to help them naturally replenish their own hormones while supporting other essential bodily functions. This is one of the main uses for peptide therapy in regenerative medicine.
Glycine has been studied and shown to be a stimulatory agent on the pituitary gland to secrete growth hormone.

M.I.C. (Methionine/Inositol/Choline)
Methionine is an amino acid and acts as a lipotropic agent (to speed up removal of fat within the liver) that can prevent problems of the skin and nails. It works as an antioxidant through a conversion process to L-cysteine to help neutralize toxins.
Inositol is part of the vitamin B complex. As a mild lipotropic agent, it is used to help with weight loss and in redistributing body fat by breaking down or emulsifying fats in the body. It can also help promote healthy hair and skin.
Choline is also part of the vitamin B family and assists with the utilization of fats in the body and supports weight loss. It can help in the emulsification of fats and cholesterol in the body by helping form smaller fat globules in the blood and aiding the transport of fats through the small vasculature. It also helps with general body detoxification by “decongesting” the liver of excess fats.

NAD+
NAD+ plays a pivotal role in cellular metabolism and is a co-substrate for enzymes that play key roles in pathways that modify aging.
One of the most well-studied benefits of NAD+ is its influence over metabolism. Metabolism is the process of turning food into ATP, which your cells use as energy. NAD+ assists with the production of ATP, meaning your body has more energy to use up. By causing Increases in mitochondrial ATP production NAD+ improves endurance, strength and stamina.
NAD+ supplementation aids in energy, focus, anti-aging, while increasing athletic performance, endurance, and strength. -
L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is found in nearly all cells of the body. L-carnitine plays a critical role in the production of energy from long-chain fatty acids. In addition, it increases the activity of certain nerve cells in the central nervous system. This amino acid aids in weight loss, exercise performance, peripheral vascular disease, kidney disease and male sexual health.

LipoLean
Super M.I.C.
(Methionine/Inositol/Choline + B12 + L-Carnitine)
This combination is based on the following known physiologic functions to assist in weight loss. Methionine is an amino acid that plays an important role in metabolism. Inositol is a B vitamin that helps metabolize fat and may improve insulin function. Choline is an essential nutrient, related to B vitamins, and assists in lipid metabolism and fatty acid transport. The injection can be given sub-Q 0.5ml two to three times weekly or IM 1.0ml weekly.

Glutathione
Glutathione is an antioxidant naturally produced in our bodies and acts as a buffer for any harmful toxins, chemicals or damaged cells that are introduced which keeps the body healthy and functioning properly.
Glutathione can be depleted rather quickly if a person is sick, exercising, drinking or smoking which can further decrease the immune system and lead to disease. Glutathione has been used in treatments for chronic fatigue syndrome, heart disease, cancer, chronic infections, autoimmune disease, diabetes, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, asthma, kidney problems, liver disease, fertility and more.
Another benefit to Glutathione is recovery in athletes and those leading active lifestyles. Several studies have shown that patients supplementing Glutathione had an increase in lean muscle mass over studies of patients that did not add glutathione. Increased Glutathione can remove free radicals caused by the workout which speeds up the body’s ability to heal and rebuild muscle tissue building and repair, making chemicals and proteins needed in the body and the immune system.

Arginine
L-Arginine becomes nitric oxide (a blood vessel-widening agent called a vasodilator) in the body. Early evidence suggests that arginine may help treat medical conditions that improve with increased vasodilation, such as chest pain, clogged arteries, heart disease, heart failure, erectile dysfunction, peripheral vascular disease, and headaches from blood vessel swelling. Arginine also triggers the body to make protein and has been studied for healing wounds, enhancing sperm production, and preventing tissue wasting in people with critical illnesses.

G.A.C. (Glutathione, Arginine, Carnitine)
L-Glutamine is an amino acid, specifically the most prevalent amino acid in the body. It can enhance exercise recovery and boost physical performance. Glutamine can also assist with injury healing. Glutamine may also increase growth hormone levels in the body.
L-Arginine is an amino acid, converts into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a powerful vasodilator to increase the blood flow to your muscles and organs. This can increase physical performance and exercise recovery. Additionally, arginine can increase sexual performance in a mechanism similar to Viagra (a vasodilatation). Several studies have shown that injectable arginine can boost growth hormone levels.
L-Carnitine is a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy. It is produced by the body in the liver and kidneys and stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, and brain. Carnitine can provide more energy and help with fat loss. Additionally carnitine can increase androgen receptor density making testosterone and other androgens to work more efficiently.
